Single cell success- From Samples to Insights: Preparing and Processing scRNAseq Data

Connected Core First Fridays eLearning Series

December 5, 2025

10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

Our December session, From Samples to Insights: Preparing and Processing scRNAseq Data, will walk participants through the essential preparation and follow-up steps that ensure successful experiments. We will begin with an overview of sample preparation, comparing approaches for fresh samples, fixed samples with cell isolation, and fixed samples with nuclei isolation. The session will also highlight the importance of reserving consultations with the Spatial & Genome Technologies (SGT) Core for guidance on sample handling, assay selection, and biostatistics support. Toward the end, we will shift focus to data processing, including understanding data types and functions, strategies for data storage and transfer, and key concepts in genomic alignment and count matrix generation. To reinforce these concepts, participants will engage in a short quiz before concluding with open Q&A.
